Nocny Kochanek guitarists at Guitar Expo 2026!

Robert "Kazon" Kazanowski has been one of two guitarists and a key musical figure in the band Nocny Kochanek since its transformation from the Night Mistress project in 2012. The formal birth of Nocny Kochanek dates back to the performance and song "Minerał Fiutta" in the animated film "Kapitan Bomba - Zemsta Faraona" (an event that gave rise to the band's name and direction). As a guitarist, Kazanowski co-creates the band's distinctive heavy metal riffs, which skillfully combine classic inspirations with their own humorous style.
Kazon has a more extensive musical education than many of his colleagues – he is the only member of Nocny Kochanek who attended music school, which resulted in his ability to play various instruments, such as the piano, drums, flute, and bassoon. This interdisciplinary musical background influences his approach to guitar arrangements and solo parts, while also allowing him to pursue activities outside the band, including participating in events dedicated to the memory of Jon Lord and working on his own recordings.
Arkadiusz "Father Arkadiusz" Majstrak is also the guitar pillar of Nocny Kochanek and a member of the band since its first studio releases - from "Hewi Metal" (2015) to the latest "Urwany film" (2025). Majstrak brings solid guitar riffs and solo parts to the band's sound, which contribute to the heavy, energetic character of the group's music. His playing style combines classic heavy metal inspirations with rock flashes, and his presence in the lineup is a stable element of the band's stage and recording identity.
In interviews, he emphasizes that his work with Nocny Kochanek was one of the most important and interesting decades of his musical life, especially in terms of working on studio material and adapting new ideas and arrangements. His involvement also includes collaboration on demo tracks and recordings—both in the arrangement process and in the studio, which testifies to his versatile contribution to the band's work.
Both guitarists—Kazanowski and Majstrak—have contributed to Nocny Kochanek's success over the past decade, including countless concert tours, prestigious awards (e.g., Fryderyk for the album Randka w Ciemność), and gold and platinum record status. Over the years of working in the band, they have developed a distinctive sound that combines classic heavy metal riffs with humorous lyrics and stage presence, which makes Nocny Kochanek stand out on the Polish rock and metal scene. Their contribution is inseparable from the band's identity, both in terms of creativity and performance.
