Alexandr Misko – the king of fingerstyle at Guitar Expo!

Alexandr Misko was born on November 28, 1997, in Krasnodar, Russia. He became interested in the guitar as a teenager, taking his first classical guitar lessons at the age of 12 and continuing them for about three years with a private teacher. Then, inspired by materials and songs available online, Misko discovered the fingerstyle technique, which he decided to master on his own and develop as the main area of his musical expression.
He began his musical career thanks to material published on the internet, which quickly gained a wide audience. Already in 2015, one of his videos gained a significant number of views, and the breakthrough came with a viral cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean in a fingerstyle arrangement, which reached tens of millions of viewers on Facebook and YouTube. In 2016, he released his debut album, The Songs of Adolescence, and subsequent recordings and interpretations of well-known songs, such as Careless Whisper, also achieved enormous popularity online.
His concert activities and recognition in the music community have confirmed his position as one of the world's leading fingerstyle guitarists. Misko has performed in many countries, including Europe, the US, and Asia, showcasing his skills both solo and alongside other renowned artists. In 2018, he won the Guitarist of the Year award at the prestigious UK Guitar Show, presented by MusicRadar magazine. In 2020, he performed at Carnegie Hall alongside the outstanding harpist Alexander Boldachev – one of the most significant moments in his performing career.
In addition, Misko is also developing his musical activities outside the concert stage. He is a composer and arranger and is actively involved in guitar education. His music, both original and in the form of arrangements, has been played hundreds of millions of times, and he himself has gained over a million followers on social media. In 2023, he decided to move from Russia to Germany, which strengthened his presence on the European music scene and facilitated collaboration with other artists and the development of his concert and educational career.
