Ortega Guitars is a brand founded in 1994, combining a German design approach with traditional luthier methods. The company produces acoustic stringed instruments, including classical guitars, ukuleles, acoustic basses, mandolins and banjos, offering a variety of sizes and designs to suit users of all ages. Ortega introduces solutions found in higher-end models, such as the 12-hole bridge, also on entry-level and mid-range models. There are also signature instruments and a series of hands-free percussion products, as well as accessories for instrument maintenance and use. Starting in 2019, the company will also offer KEIKI educational products and acoustic sound solutions. Ortega is also developing alternative materials, including the introduction of strings based on plant fibers to reduce environmental impact.
