Polsound workshop on in-ear monitoring systems at Guitar Center
10.03.2026
Topic: Playing rehearsals and concerts "by ear" – how to approach the subject?
During Guitar Expo, there will be intensive 30-minute workshops devoted to one of the most important issues in contemporary stage work – the use of in-ear monitoring systems. The meeting will be led by Kuba Kałużny, a renowned specialist and practitioner associated with Polsound, who works on concert productions on a daily basis and is well acquainted with the challenges faced by musicians and sound engineers. During the workshops, participants will learn what working "on the ears" looks like in practice, both during rehearsals and concerts.
More and more bands and artists are deciding to switch from traditional stage monitors to in-ear systems, but for many people this remains a topic full of questions and doubts. During the meeting, we will discuss the most important issues related to preparing to work with such a system, creating a comfortable monitoring mix, and avoiding common mistakes that can negatively affect playing comfort or hearing safety. The presenter will also share practical tips from everyday stage work and show what to pay special attention to in concert conditions.
The workshops will be valuable for instrumentalists, vocalists, sound engineers, and entire bands preparing for concerts and tours. This is an opportunity to better understand how in-ear monitoring systems work, learn how to use their potential in practice, and make concerts sound as good—and often even better—than rehearsals.
Polsound and Kuba Kałużny workshops will take place on March 28 and 29!
