ARTISTS: BILLY WATMAN

Billy Watman
is an award-winning English-Brazilian classical and fingerstyle guitarist. From 2019 to 2022, he studied classical guitar at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London. Billy has been playing guitar since he was six years old, and his inspirations include Rodrigo y Gabriela, Tommy Emmanuel, and Mike Oldfield. At the age of 9, he began performing live as a street artist during the Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2016, he reached the finals of the Sky Arts TV show "Guitar Star," during which he worked with Tony Iommi, George Benson, Milos Karadaglic and Tony Visconti.

Billy has toured throughout Europe, sharing stages and festival line-ups with artists such as Adam Wakeman (Black Sabbath / Ozzy Osbourne), Midge Ure, Chaka Khan and The Pet Shop Boys. He is also known for his viral renditions of the Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody."

He refuses to be pigeonholed into one style. His live concerts are a mesmerizing journey through a variety of musical genres, covering repertoire from classical music, flamenco and pop, to disco and classic rock - all on one guitar.
